Resumo: Ao longo dos anos, as glândulas salivares têm despertado grande interesse devido à complexidade das patologias que nelas tem origem, algumas com etiopatogenias pouco definidas, gerando dificuldades de classificação e de interpretação microscópica, dificultando assim o seu diagnóstico. Existem várias teorias que tentam explicar a fisiopatologia das neoplasias das glândulas salivares. No entanto as alterações celulares presentes nas sialoadenites crônicas nãoespecíficas, não têm recebido a devida atenção na literatura, por este motivo foi elaborada esta revisão da literatura.
Abstract: To the long one of the years, the salivary glands have awake most interest due the complexity of the pathologies that has origin, some with etiopatogenis little defined, what it generates difficulties of classification and histological interpretation, thus making it difficult its diagnosis. Some theories exist that try to explain the physiopathology of the neoplasy of the salivary glands. However the cellular alterations gifts in not specific the chronic sialoadenits have not received the had attention in literature.
