Resumo: Os gânglios linfáticos são acúmulos focais de células linfóides e retículo-endoteliais. O tecido linfóide é amplamente distribuído em outros órgãos como no canal alimentar e baço. Os gânglios linfáticos são uma parte integrante do sistema retículo-endotelial e participam de suas doenças. A linfadenite é uma inflamação dos gânglios linfáticos, sendo uma das principais lesões. As linfadenites agudas ocorrem nos gânglios linfáticos que drenam uma área de inflamação aguda, tornando-os intumescidos e nas infecções piogênicas pode ocorrer a supuração. Foi realizada uma revisão da literatura a respeito das linfadenites cérvico faciais, pela escassez de trabalhos registrados na literatura nacional.
Abstract: The lymphatic ganglions are focal accumulations of lymphoids cells and reticulum-endotheliais. The fabric lymphoid widely is distributed in other agencies as in the alimentary canal and spleen. The lymphatic ganglions are an integrant part of the system reticulum-endothelial and participate of its illnesses. The lymphadenitis is an inflammation of the lymphatic ganglion, being one of the main injuries. The acute lymphadenitis occurs in the lymphatic ganglion that drains an area of acute inflammation, becoming them tumid and in the pyogenic infections the suppuration can occur. A revision of literature regarding the face cervical lymphadenitis was carried through, for the scarcity of works registered in national literature.
